Bloomberg: Apple is pausing its Vision Air development and going all-in on smart glasses | Infinium-tech
Earlier this year, analyst Ming-Chi Kuo shared a wide roadmap for Apple’s upcoming wearballs, including a more economical and light vision air, which was set to launch in 2027.
A new report from Bloomberg It is suggested that Apple has discontinued work on Vision Air and is instead all–in on its smart glass, as it aims to accelerate its meta ray-ban competitive device. According to the report, Apple has started infection with engineers in the smart glasses project from vision air development.
Based on the previous report, Apple’s smart glasses Q2, 2027 were about to enter out -scale production, but now we can expect that date in 2026.
The first generation apple glasses will offer many material finish for temples and frames, and there will be no underlying performance. They are ready to facilitate Apple Intelligence with several cameras providing visual intelligence features.
The Apple Silicon (LCOS) display is also working on the extended reality (XR) glass with liquid crystals at voice control and gestures. They are expected to enter the production on a large scale in Q2 2028.
