AT&T won’t sell Google’s Pixel 9 Pro Fold | Infinium-tech

Just this morning, Google finally officially launched the Pixel 9 family, including the Pixel 9 Pro Fold. If the company’s second foldable smartphone has caught your attention, we have some bad news for you if AT&T is your carrier of choice.

For whatever reason, AT&T has decided not to sell the Pixel 9 Pro Fold. This is despite the fact that it has offered its predecessor, the original Pixel Fold, and all the other Pixel 9 devices ready for its customers.

AT&T will not sell Google's Pixel 9 Pro Fold

Unfortunately, the carrier hasn’t detailed the reasons behind its surprising decision. Its stance is likely to impact sales of Google’s foldable in the US, as AT&T has around 72 million postpaid customers and people in the US are used to buying their new devices from their carriers.

If you don’t mind buying your Pixel 9 Pro Fold in unlocked form elsewhere, you’ll probably be able to use it on AT&T, but keep in mind that the carrier hasn’t yet confirmed that it will certify the device for use on its network, so the situation is still uncertain.

The good news is (at least if you’re not an AT&T customer) that both Verizon and T-Mobile Are Google’s new foldable smartphone will be available from September 4 at a starting price of $1,799.
