Asus ROG Phone 9 and Zenfone 12 Ultra receive Android 16 update | Infinium-tech
Asus launched its Android 16 beta program for the ZenFone 12 Ultra in August, and after almost three months of testing, it is now finally ready to roll out the final version. It is being released not only for the Zenfone 12 Ultra, but also the ROG Phone 9.
The new build is 36.0810.1810.43, and the download size is over 1GB. Like all updates, this one is being released in batches, so it may take a few days – if not weeks – until every device receives the notification.

The changelog includes adjusted system navigation settings, the ability to long press the power button to turn on the digital assistant, a skip countdown button in screen recording, a fix for no sound during calls with Bluetooth headsets, and a number of game profiles, AirTrigger profiles, and macro profiles have been updated specifically for the ROG Phone 9. Asus says that some third-party apps may not be compatible with Android 16 yet.
