Apple’s iPhone Fold may be delayed | Infinium-tech
Apple’s first foldable smartphone, which we’re calling the iPhone Fold for simplicity’s sake, has long been rumored to finally launch next year. However, now a new report from Korea claims that it may actually only arrive in 2027.
Alternatively, if Apple succeeds in launching it in 2026, only 5-7 million units will be produced the following year. The possible delay is said to be due to the time taken to decide on all the specifications, including, very importantly, the hinge.

A recent rumor claimed that the hinge will be much cheaper than originally estimated. At the rate production preparations are going, Apple won’t be able to sell the 10-15 million units it wants next year.
The iPhone Fold is said to have a 7.58″ folding screen and a 5.38″ cover display. Both of these will use LTPO technology as well as CoE which eliminates polarization.
