Apple launched iPhone 16 devices with the promise that they would get AI features with the iOS 18.1 update in October, but it later said that its Apple Intelligence Platform would be delayed in Europe and China.
The American company is also facing another problem in China. Apple’s privacy policy does not allow data collection from iPhone users who ask AI-related questions. However, Baidu wants to save the data to “analyze and improve its AI.”
This model is Ernie 4.0, which is Baidu’s most advanced model, and Apple wants to use it for generative AI on iPhones, Macs, and iPad devices. There are also plans to include LLM in Siri.
