Apple Intelligence to receive major updates in iOS 27 | Infinium-tech
We’ve already heard that iOS 26.4, which is scheduled to launch this upcoming spring, will finally bring out the improved Siri we’ve been waiting for for the past year. And all this, apparently, will happen with the help of a behind-the-scenes secret.
The same source, usually very reliable (when it comes to Apple-related stuff) Mark Gurman at Bloomberg, is also reporting that iOS 27 (and possibly iPadOS 27) will come with some “major updates” to the entire Apple Intelligence suite, as well as Apple’s “broader AI strategy.”

Those are big words, but unfortunately Gurman hasn’t shared anything more concrete yet. iOS 27 and iPadOS 27 will be officially introduced during Apple’s annual Worldwide Developers Conference in June, and both will become available alongside the iPhone 18 family next September.
We don’t know what these major improvements will be, but Apple’s AI play has been weak so far, especially compared to Google (and, some might argue, even Samsung, if we’re only comparing to other companies making phones). So it definitely needs to take its proper place on the AI hype train, and perhaps 2026 is the year in which that will happen, with iOS 26.4 and the revised Siri, and then iOS 27 and these unnamed improvements.
