Apple could make iPhone 17 Air just 6 mm thin | Infinium-tech
Apple is reportedly going to launch the iPhone 17 Air in September 2025, and the device is expected to replace the Plus edition, which has the least impressive sales in its current portfolio. The phone was initially rumored to be called the iPhone 17 Slim, and today we learned about its thickness.
According to a note from Hong Kong-based investment bank Haitong, the iPhone 17 Air may measure around 6mm. If that is indeed the case, it would be the thinnest iPhone ever, even thinner than the iPhone 6 with its 6.9mm profile.
Many unknowns are still up in the air, but we already have some details. The new iPhone should have a 6.6” screen and A19 chip (vanilla version, not Pro).
There may only be one camera on the back, which might seem like a dealbreaker, but analyst Ming-Chi Kuo has already said that Apple is looking to “emphasise innovative form factor design”, hence the flagship-level camera setup. Don’t expect. We’ll be on the lookout for more leaks and rumors as this new iPhone 17 Air is definitely a gamble for Apple.
