8-core Snapdragon X Plus leaks ahead of IFA debut | Infinium-tech
Qualcomm’s Snapdragon X-series chipsets come in two varieties – the X Plus lineup that features a 10-core Orion CPU and the X Elite that comes in a 12-core configuration. Evan Blass This confirms the key specifications of the 8-core X Plus variant that will launch on laptops announced at IFA Berlin. It will be a slightly cut-down version of the regular X Plus chip with an 8-core Orion CPU and will ship on CoPilot+ notebooks starting at $800.
based on the first ReportsThe new chip will offer 3.4GHz single-core boost and 3.2GHz multi-core boost. In addition to the reduced CPU core count and clock speed, the new X Plus chip will also feature a cutdown Adreno GPU rated at 1.7 TFLOPS (instead of 3.8 TFLOPS), LPDDR5X RAM with 30MB total cache (compared to 42MB on the X Plus), and support for triple external monitors at UHD resolution and 60Hz (instead of 4K 120Hz).
It will also have Qualcomm Hexagon NPU with 45 TOPS as well as Always-Sensing ISP, Wi-Fi 7 and 5G support.
