YouTube on TV is getting unskippable ads | Infinium-tech
YouTube’s biggest growth over the past few years has come from viewership on TV, and the Google-owned company is now trying to make some more money from it.
One way to do this is to introduce non-skippable 30-second commercials on TV. These are now available to advertisers globally. The company explains to advertisers that its AI “dynamically optimizes between 6-second bumper, 15-second standard and 30-second connected TV-only non-skippable ad formats, ensuring your campaign reaches the right audience at the right time”.

Obviously, if you hate ads the solution is to pay for YouTube Premium. YouTube has recently made Premium Lite, a cheaper option, more attractive by adding new features to it, so if you don’t want to pay for full Premium, you should probably go the Lite route instead.
