Xiaomi’s Leica Leitzphone emerges ahead of launch | Infinium-tech
We are just days away from the global launch of the Xiaomi 17 series where we will see the Xiaomi 17, Xiaomi 17 Ultra and Xiaomi 17 Ultra Leica Edition. But there is a twist in it. As previously speculated, the Leica edition will come with a different name for global markets: the Xiaomi-powered Xiaomi Leitzphone.

Yes, it certainly gets on the tongue and should not be confused with the Japan-exclusive three generations of Leitz phones made by Sharp.
The Xiaomi-powered Leitzphone emerged in live images on X.com, and we can see that its back design will have some minor differences from its Chinese counterpart. The black version appears to have a similar back design rather than the two-tone approach found on the Chinese model.

We can also see that the Ducati logo in the corner has been rotated 90 degrees, as is the Leica branding inside the camera island. The mechanical ring rotating around the camera island looks the same and we expect it to function the same way, allowing users to quickly adjust focal length, exposure and white balance.
