According to the report, the next generation Xiaomi foldable has been spotted in the Mi Code database. The model number of the device is 2608BPX34C and its codename is ‘Lhasa’. It also has the internal designation Q18, where the number 18 is reportedly used for Xiaomi’s foldable lineup.

The report suggests that the device in the database is likely the Mi Mix Fold 5, although Xiaomi may choose to market it as the Xiaomi Fold 17.
The code reveals that the foldable will be powered by the Xring O3 chipset, Xiaomi’s in-house SoC. It is worth noting that the company had introduced Xring O1 last year with Xiaomi 15S Pro and Pad 7S Pro.
The report claims that Xiaomi may unveil the Mix Fold 5 in August this year. The device is said to be limited to the Chinese market and could be priced around $1,399.
