vivo V70 in for review | Infinium-tech
We’re taking a look at Vivo’s new V70 series. Earlier, we gave you our thoughts about the V70 Elite, so now, let’s unbox the Vivo V70.
Our unit is the Alpine Gray model, and it comes with a 90W charger, a USB-C to USB-A cable, and a simple silicone case.
The Alpine Gray model is a curious shade. Depending on the lighting, it appears light brown or pale pink. In fact, it has a light gray back panel and a slightly darker gray frame.
With a 6.59-inch display and sub-8mm profile, the phone feels nice compact in the hand.

The design of Vivo V70 is quite balanced. All its surfaces are flat and its corners are slightly rounded. Vivo says the aluminum frame has been polished multiple times, and it shows. Except for the display’s glossy glass and the camera lens, every surface you touch is subtly matte. It is a sophisticated and premium combination.
Let’s move on from design. Vivo’s V-series is also camera-centric, as the Zeiss logo at the back hints at. You get a classic triple rear system with a 23mm f/1.9 main camera, an 85mm f/2.7 zoom, both 50MP sensors, and an 8MP 21mm f/2.2 sort-of-ultrawide shooter. All three benefit from a customizable ring flash called Aura Flash.
Upfront there is another 21mm camera, this one with a 50MP sensor.

We like the Vivo V70 in hand. It’s about its presence. It also reminds us a bit of Oppo’s Reno15 Pro, although that phone is a little smaller and more premium (though, just a little). Like the Reno, the Vivo V70 has a big battery – a 6,500mAh cell that’s also durable. Vivo says it doesn’t mind extreme temperatures (both hot and cold), which is always good to know.

The V70 is already on pre-order in places like India, though shipping is scheduled for February 26. Europe, the Middle East and Southeast Asia are also getting it.
