Spotify adds emoji reactions to collaborative playlists | Infinium-tech
Spotify has found a way to make contributing to collaborative playlists more engaging and fun – emoji reactions. Additionally, contributors to a playlist can react to each other’s additions with ❤️, ➡️, 👍, 🎧, 🔥 and 🥹.
The person who added the song will get a notification on Spotify Messages, letting them know how others in the group feel about the song. This is for Insiders only, however, so only the owner and contributor of the collaborative playlist can see reactions.
Collaborative playlists in Spotify now support emoji reactions
And if that doesn’t seem like a good idea, you can turn off emoji reactions for your collaborative playlists. For collaborative playlists with fewer than 10 editors, reactions are enabled by default – for playlists created by larger groups, the owner must enable the feature manually.
Spotify has added a lot of playlist-related functionality. You can import playlists from competing services, use AI to generate lists for you, add custom transitions between songs, and more. The streamer is also building a new podcast feature and audiobook feature. It’s also added a fitness hub – it’s attempting to make Spotify an integral part of your daily routine.
