Samsung unveils enhanced Care+ protection plan in Europe | Infinium-tech

Today Samsung has announced the advanced Samsung Care+ protection plan for 17 European markets. This includes unlimited accidental damage cover for trips, falls and falls, with a “streamlined” additional charge.

Uninterrupted care is available at home as well as abroad – the previous 60-day travel limit has been removed. For walk-in repairs, 175 new locations have been added, but of course the option to send your device in for repair is still there.

Devices with less than 80% battery capacity after the expiry of the standard manufacturer warranty are eligible for free battery replacement for those who have Care+. Samsung also says that “if an insured customer experiences any mechanical and electrical failure after the standard warranty period, Samsung Care+ covers repairs for the duration of the policy period”.

There’s also a new monthly payment option for up to 60 months of coverage, and you can cancel at any time, supplementing the fixed-term, two-year option.

For added peace of mind, you can now include theft and loss coverage, which ensures replacement equipment is shipped within 48 hours of claim approval. However, note that a maximum of two successful claims for theft or loss are allowed per year, and you must activate Samsung Knox Guard within 30 days of starting your Care+ policy.
