Samsung SmartThings gets Now Brief integration | Infinium-tech

Samsung announced that its SmartThings home automation system now supports Now Brief integration. Now Brief made its debut on the Galaxy S25 series and provides clear contextual information like weather updates, upcoming calendar events, and reminders on supported Galaxy devices. With the new update, Now Brief will also support contextual information from SmartThings-enabled devices.

This also includes updates to SmartThings-compatible home security cameras, as well as integration with Samsung’s Pet Care and Family Care monitoring services. This means that your 2024 or newer Samsung Smart TV will now be able to display relevant information about home security, family health/activity as well as pet information via card when you approach your TV.

In related news, Samsung’s Family Care feature, which provides notifications for family members and pets, can now provide reminders for medical visits and medications for caregivers. The Care on Call feature allows relevant details such as daily activity levels and local weather to be displayed in a pop-up window during calls with family members that are part of the Samsung Family Care suite.

Additionally, Samsung’s Safety Patrol feature, which uses the camera on a SmartThings-compatible robot vacuum to check on your home, can now recognize if someone has fallen and needs assistance. Compatible robotic vacuums can provide visual feedback as well as access to their microphones for communication with the care recipient.
