Samsung Galaxy Watch Ultra 2 to use a new chipset | Infinium-tech
Samsung’s Galaxy Watch Ultra 2 is rumored to launch later this year, around the two-year anniversary of its predecessor, and today a tipster on X claims it will use the newly unveiled Snapdragon Wear Elite SoC.

The Galaxy Watch9, on the other hand, will reportedly stick with the Exynos W1000 used in the Galaxy Watch8 and Watch7, even though it will be launching alongside the Galaxy Watch Ultra 2.
With this move, Samsung will differentiate the next Ultra even more from its non-Ultra watches, for better or worse. It’s unclear whether this means we can expect a price increase compared to the original Ultra, but given that every new top Qualcomm chip for phones is more expensive than the last, we wouldn’t be surprised if the same logic applied in the wearables sector as well.
