Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra to have upgraded ultrawide camera only | Infinium-tech

Samsung’s Galaxy S25 Ultra is expected to launch sometime in January, but there have been a lot of rumors about it lately. Today, news comes from Chinese leakster Ice Universe that the device will feature an upgraded ultrawide camera.

According to him, the S25 Ultra will have a 50 MP ultrawide using the Samsung ISOCELL JN3 sensor with a pixel size of 0.7um. That’s good news. The bad news is that Ice Universe says this will be the only camera being upgraded. All the rest will remain unchanged from the Galaxy S24 Ultra. This contradicts a May rumor that claimed the 3x telephoto would also be new.

So, we will once again see the ISOCELL HP2 200 MP main camera (which will be made on a new process, but the model itself is unchanged), the same 10 MP 3x zoom camera using Sony’s IMX754 sensor, and the same 50 MP 5x zoom camera using Sony’s IMX854.

According to recent rumors, the S25 Ultra will only launch globally with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 chipset. Unfortunately, it will have more RAM than its predecessor, a bigger screen with smaller bezels, and the same battery capacity as the S24 Ultra. However, it will be the thinnest and lightest top device when it launches.
