Samsung confirms the S Pen is here to stay | Infinium-tech
Samsung removed the S Pen’s Bluetooth functionality with last year’s Galaxy S25 Ultra, leading some to believe that the Korean brand will remove the S Pen with the recently announced Galaxy S26 Ultra. Fortunately this did not happen. And the good news is that Samsung has confirmed that the S Pen won’t be going anywhere.

in an interview with bloombergWon-Joon Choi, COO of Samsung’s Mobile Experience Business, confirmed that Samsung is currently working on the next-generation version of the S Pen stylus.

“We are working on a more advanced technology within the S Pen to come up with a new structure of the display, so that the penalty for having an S Pen is reduced. The S Pen will remain one of the main technologies,Choi said without giving further details about this upgraded S Pen.
Additionally, Choi said that Samsung has not yet made any decisions regarding successors to the Galaxy S25 Edge and Galaxy Z Trifold. However, the Samsung COO did not rule out a wider version of the Galaxy Z Fold that folds once.
