Xiaomi’s Redmi Pad 2 9.7 was first revealed in March, and now it’s gone official, as it was listed by the company on its websites for Malaysia and Singapore.

The new tablet comes with a 9.7-inch LCD screen with 2048×1280 resolution, 120Hz refresh rate, 240Hz touch sampling rate, and 600-nit peak brightness, and is powered by a Snapdragon 6s Gen 2 4G chipset, paired with 4GB of RAM and 64/128GB of storage.

There is an 8MP camera on the back and a 5MP snapper on the front. The tablet is powered by a 7,600 mAh battery that supports 18W wired charging. In the above markets it comes with a 15W charger, although this will almost certainly be removed if it ever reaches Europe.

The Redmi Pad 2 9.7 runs HyperOS 3. It measures 226.51 x 147.97 x 7.4 mm and weighs 406 grams. It’s available in silver and graphite grey, and has two options: Wi-Fi only or Wi-Fi+4G. The first one starts at SGD 229 ($179) and the second one starts at SGD 269 ($211) in Singapore. Both versions in Malaysia currently have placeholder pricing.
