Redmi K70 Extreme Edition is official with Dimensity 9300+, D1 chip | Infinium-tech

The Redmi K70 Extreme Edition is the latest arrival from today’s major Xiaomi event. It’s set to sit at the top of a series that debuted in late 2023.

The performance-centric device features a 4nm MediaTek Dimensity 9300+ with 12 GB, 16 GB, or 24 GB of physical RAM. The high-revving processor inside can boost its performance Cortex-X4 cores up to 3.4GHz.

The Dimensity 9300+ comes with a dedicated discrete graphics D1 chip. This is a 12nm display chip that supports 3x interpolation up to “1.5K resolution” (read 1080p) to play 144Hz content. This chip is said to reduce power consumption by around 15% while gaming.

Apart from this, it also has a special 3D cooling chamber, which can reduce the temperature by up to 3 degrees.

The body of the Redmi K70 Extreme Edition is made of a metal frame, while Xiaomi has used its Longjing glass for the front and back for the first time. The K70 Extreme Edition has also received an IP68 rating.

The phone is built with a 6.67-inch 2712x1220px 144Hz OLED display with 1,600 nits nominal brightness and 4,000 nits maximum brightness. It has a 480Hz regular touch sampling rate and a 2160Hz instantaneous touch sampling rate. Finally, the panel has 3840Hz PWM dimming.

Redmi K70 Ultra

On the back is a Sony-made IMX906 50MP 1/1.56″ main camera, an 8MP ultrawide, and a 2MP macro shooter. On the front is a 20MP selfie camera.

The K70 Extreme Edition has a 5,500mAh battery that supports 120W charging. The Xiaomi Pengpai P2 chip monitors charging, while the G1 chip safeguards the battery health.

The Redmi K70 Extreme Edition starts at CNY 2,599 (€330/£270/$360/INR 30,000, converted). You can buy it in Black, White, or Blue, configured in 12/256GB, 12/512GB, 16/512GB, and 16GB/1TB. Then there’s the Lamborghini-inspired Extreme Champion Edition, which comes in a sole 24GB/1TB configuration, priced at CNY 3,999 (€500/£420/$550/INR 46,000, converted).
