A few days ago, we saw pictures of the iPhone 17 Dumies, in which Apple’s 2025 phones revealed the leading redesign. Today, a picture of different dummy has surfaced and it reveals interesting details about their construction.
All four models have magsafe – you can see the characteristic ring of magnets backwards, as well as alignment magnets under it. However, take a close look at the two professionals, they are long and wide camera islands.
iPhone 17 Damies
The iPhone 17 Pro and the iPhone 17 Pro Max have a cutout around the Magsafe area. Looking at the previous reports, the frame will be made of metal – perhaps aluminum – and a glass window.

The extra metal on the back of the professionals should help with hardness, while the glass window will allow the wireless to charge. The back of the iPhone 17 and iPhone 17 Air will be made of glass, so there is no need for window design. Previously, all iPhones had glass backs, which you can see in the tearing video.
