OnePlus Open 2 and Oppo Find N5 to be larger and very slim | Infinium-tech
The next foldable smartphone from Oppo and OnePlus will be the Oppo Find N5 in China and the OnePlus Open 2 internationally. Like the Find N3 and the original Open, these are expected to be similar. Thus, we’ll refer to both as the Open 2 in this article, but everything we said applies to the Find N5 as well.
According to prolific Chinese leakster Digital Chat Station, the OnePlus Open 2 will be larger than the original, but also much thinner (less than 10mm as per previous rumor). There will be a large circular camera island on the back, which will house a trio of Hasselblad branded shooters: a 50 MP main camera, a 50 MP ultrawide, and a 50 MP 3x zoom periscope telephoto camera.
The battery on the Open 2 will get a big boost over its predecessor – 5,700 mAh versus 4,805 mAh. The upcoming device will support wireless charging, which the original OnePlus did not have.
The Open 2 will surprisingly be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite SoC. According to previous rumors, the Find N5 is scheduled to launch between January and March next year, and the same may be true for the Find N2.
