OnePlus Nord 6 hands-on review | Infinium-tech
Introduction
Nord 6 is the newest mid-range smartphone from OnePlus. As has been the case in the past, this is a modified but largely identical version of an existing Chinese release, in this case, the OnePlus Turbo 6. The Nord 6 is currently only being launched in India, and a wider global release may or may not be on the cards, depending on whether the company is there to work in those regions.

Yes, things are looking a little bad for OnePlus right now, but we’ll get to that by the end. For now, the focus will be on handheld devices. The Nord 6 steps up in a few key areas over its predecessor in the form of an updated display, a faster chipset, and a big bump in battery.
The new Nord 6 can go up to 165Hz in gaming, which is the highest in its class. It gets an upgrade to the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8s Gen 4, which may not be impressive if you’re trying to promote your phone as a flagship, but it’s great if you’re targeting the mid-range segment. And finally, it has a massive 9000mAh battery, the largest on a OnePlus phone so far, and even larger than some of the tablets the company has shipped in the past.
This all sounds great on paper, so let’s move on and see what the phone is like in practice.
unbox
The OnePlus Nord 6 introduces a new design to the Nord series. The new box maintains the predominantly blue Atoll color scheme of all Nord-branded packages, but loses the large triplicate Nord text in favor of calmer packaging that’s more in line with the main OnePlus phones.

Inside the box, you get the phone, a color-matching soft silicone case, an 80W charger, a red charging cable that we really wished would turn blue at some point to match the Nord branding, and a SIM ejector tool. The display glass also has a pre-installed screen protector.
