Nothing Phone (1) receives final update as software support ends | Infinium-tech
The Nothing Phone (1) has officially reached the end of its software support lifecycle and will no longer receive software updates, the company confirmed in an official announcement. This smartphone was launched in July 2022 running on Android 12.
The release of the final software update for the phone (1) has not yet begun, with the release expected to reach all users in the coming days.
The update includes the July 2026 Android security patch as well as general bug fixes, performance improvements, and enhanced system stability.
Although the phone (1) will no longer receive software updates, nothing assures that the device is completely usable and will continue to function normally.
The phone (1) was promised 3 Android OS upgrades and 4 years of security updates, a commitment that Nothing has now fulfilled.
If you’re still using the Nothing Phone (1) it’s time to upgrade to a newer model like the Phone (3) or the Phone (4A) Pro.
