Introduction and Specifications

The revived Motorola Razr series returns exactly one year later with a new member of the family – the Motorola Razr Fold. But that’s a topic for another review.

Motorola feels pretty confident with its flagship flip phones from last year, so with a few minor changes, it’s good to go against the 2026 competition. Which, to be honest, is still limited in the US and Europe.

The handset still relies on the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, although the lack of a chipset upgrade doesn’t bother us at all. This is a powerful flagship SoC from early 2025, so the performance bump over the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 doesn’t seem justified considering the form factor.

The display configuration is almost the same as before – a 7.0-inch foldable OLED on the inside and a 4.0-inch OLED on the outside.

There are no notable changes on the camera either, with the 50MP main camera replaced by a 50MP ultrawide shooter and a 50MP selfie camera inside.

Perhaps the most notable change is the battery capacity – Motorola has increased it to 300 mAh this year, and the phone now offers a 5,000 mAh cell. It still supports 68W wired and 30W wireless charging.

Despite minor upgrades this year, Motorola still raised the price in some markets, potentially steering some customers towards the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip7. Let’s see how the new Razer 70 Ultra performs in our full review.
