Microsoft hikes Xbox prices for the third time in a year | Infinium-tech
Microsoft is raising Xbox prices once again. The company has already increased prices once in May last year and again later in October.

This time the company is increasing the price of 512GB model by $100 and the price of 1TB model by $150. The 2TB model is being discontinued. The current prices are as follows.
| Sample | new price | previous pricing |
|---|---|---|
| Xbox Series S (512GB) | $499 | $399 |
| Xbox Series S (1TB) | $599 | $449 |
| Xbox Series | $749 | $599 |
| Xbox Series | $799 | $649 |
The company cites the rising prices of memory and storage as the reason for this. It conveniently forgot to mention that storage and memory prices are up due to AI datacenter demands, which it is at least partially responsible for due to its aggressive efforts in the area. It’s almost as if actions have consequences.
The good thing is that at least it’s still cheaper than the Steam Machine. And it also comes with a controller.
