Latest Sony Xperia 1 VIII teaser video hints at a new camera layout | Infinium-tech
Sony has officially set the next flagship Xperia launch date as May 13 (Wednesday). The company recently shared a new teaser video on its YouTube channel, which doesn’t reveal much, but it does hint at a new layout for the triple camera.
Even better, the company also posted live stream link Where everyone will be able to see the unveiling of Sony Xperia 1 VIII. This link will be activated in less than two days – the event is scheduled for May 13th at 2am UTC.
Giving away the unofficial information, the CAD-based renders show a brand new look for the rear of the upcoming Mark 8 model, with a square camera island in the top left corner housing three lenses. The lenses (reportedly 16mm, 24mm and 70mm) are arranged in a triangle rather than a column like all previous generations. On the front, as usual, there will be a flat 6.5″ OLED panel with no notch or punch hole. And yes, there will be a 3.5mm headphone jack.
The phone will be expensive, although the leaked price also includes a pair of Sony WH-1000XM6 headphones. We’ll have more details on Wednesday.
