Key details about Oppo’s wide-screen foldable emerge | Infinium-tech
Earlier this year, a rumor claimed that Oppo was developing a wide-format foldable aimed at competing with Apple’s rumored iPhone Ultra. Now, a new leak has offered more details on the device and its possible launch timeline.
In a Weibo post, well-known tipster Digital Chat Station revealed that Oppo’s wide-screen is well in development and is likely to launch in the first quarter of 2027. The device is reportedly being tested with Qualcomm’s upcoming Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 chipset.

The leak further claims that the foldable will have a 7.6-inch inner display and a 5.5-inch cover screen. Oppo is said to be evaluating panels from both Samsung Display and BOE, while the overall design is reportedly similar to Apple’s upcoming foldable iPhone.
DCS also claims that the foldable will feature Oppo’s latest generation crease-minimizing hinge technology, presumably the same hinge system used on the Find N6. Although the final branding is unclear, recent rumors suggest that the device may launch as the Oppo Find N7.
