It’s fine: all Pixel 9 Pro and 9 Pro XL phones have LTPO displays | Infinium-tech
Crisis averted – it turns out that the Pixel 9 Pro and Pixel 9 Pro XL units sold in India, Malaysia, and Singapore actually have LTPO displays, the same Super Actua panels that the rest of the world is getting. Google has updated the specs listed on the support page that caused this confusion.
Another good news is that all Pixel 9 phones support Wi-Fi 7 in all regions. This includes the vanilla Pixel 9 and the Pixel 9 Pro Fold. Google has fixed the mistake in the specs listing and added a note that operating in the 6GHz band is only available in regions where local regulations allow it. For example, in India, 6GHz Wi-Fi is not officially approved, but that doesn’t stop Wi-Fi 7 from working on the 2.4GHz and 5GHz bands.
Pixel fans in India, Malaysia and Singapore can breathe a sigh of relief, they are not getting low-quality displays. We have the Pixel 9 Pro XL for review and a vanilla Pixel 9 is on the way, stay tuned for detailed information.
