The last week of August is now over and as we head into September, our top news were the unveil dates of the Apple iPhone 16 series and the Infinix Hot 50 5G.
Infinix’s “thinnest and most reliable 5G smartphone” will be announced on September 5. Apple’s quartet of iPhone 16, 16 Plus, 16 Pro and 16 Pro Max will launch on September 10, presumably alongside new Apple Watch and Watch Ultra and new AirPods.
Google Pixel 9a leaked with a nearly flush camera bar. The phone will launch later this year
Mark Gurman has set a September 10th announcement date.
It is advertised as the “thinnest and most reliable 5G smartphone”.
The A-series entry in the Pixel 9 family is expected to launch later this year.
Samsung’s Galaxy S25 Ultra is said to be thinner and lighter than the Google Pixel 9 Pro XL and the iPhone 16 Pro Max. This means it will weigh less than 221 grams, while the S24 Ultra weighs 232 grams.
TECNO unveiled the Phantom Ultimate 2 tri-fold concept phone. The phone starts at 6.48 inches and expands to a 10-inch 4:3 aspect display. TECNO hasn’t yet revealed the exact plans for launching its first tri-fold device, but it’s certainly an exciting first look at the future of the foldable market.
We saw a hands-on video of what is most likely a dummy iPhone 16 Pro Max in Desert Titanium. Whether this is the new colour that Apple is rumoured to bring or a more gold-like colour is something we are yet to see.
And all the other “Ultra” flagships are coming soon.
When it is fully folded, its screen size increases from 6.48 inches to 10 inches.
This smartphone looks more of a brown colour rather than a golden one.
Both are already on open sale.
Finally, we’ve completed our review of the Galaxy Ring – see what we thought of it below.
It is a delight to receive the smallest Galaxy AI-powered wearable device.
