Huawei is working on a triple-folding smartphone, and we saw a photo of the unfolded device in the hands of Richard Yu, CEO of the CBG (Consumer Business Group) division.

Today, exactly one week later, another shot appeared online, and this time, it seems that these “leaks” are not accidental. Here, the executive is holding the device in its folded form. We can see that it is a very slim device with a protruding camera island.

The device is expected to feature a 10-inch foldable display and should arrive this fall, ahead of the Mate 70 series (which is scheduled for mid-to-late fourth quarter). The camera island looks similar to the Mate X5 setup, and we have to point out that the folded phone doesn’t look too thick or wide in a normal person’s hands.

Of course, the battery inside is the new silicon-carbon technology, which has already been adopted by several other China-based smartphone companies. This enables higher energy density, even if it still doesn’t match the fastest charging capabilities of its traditional rivals.
