Huawei nova Flip full specs leak, appears in hands-on photos | Infinium-tech
Huawei is preparing to launch the Nova Flip, and today, the clamshell’s specifications surfaced online. Leakster Digital Chat Station revealed that the new phone will feature a 6.94-inch foldable screen – the largest panel on the market, which is also seen in the Huawei Pocket 2.
The phone is also coming with a Kirin 9000 series chip – this could be the Kirin 9000S from the Nova 12 Ultra or the Kirin 9010 from the Pura 70 series, or it could even be a new SoC.
The phone has already been used by various influencers in China, and its first images have surfaced on Weibo.
The inner panel will be an LTPO OLED with a refresh rate of up to 120 Hz, while the cover screen will be a regular OLED with a refresh rate of no more than 60 Hz. Its diagonal will be 2.14 ”, and we have already seen in the official teaser that it will be square and located next to the cameras.
The main shooter will be a 50 MP RYYB sensor that is 1/1.56” large and has a f/1.9 aperture on the front. The second camera is an 8 MP ultra-wide snapper that will also work as a super macro cam for close-up shots. The front-facing camera will be a 32 MP one behind a punch hole.
The phone will have a 4,400 mAh battery that supports 66W wired charging. Interestingly, this is actually a downgrade compared to Huawei’s previous clamshell Pocket 2. We’ll have to wait and see if the Nova Flip will offer any other type of charging – wireless, reverse wireless or reverse wired.
Huawei will offer this phone with a skin or glass panel on the back, which will affect its thickness and weight. The first option will be 6.88 mm thin (15.08 mm folded) and weigh 195 grams, while the second option will be 6.9 mm (15.12 mm folded) and weigh 199 grams.
The Huawei Nova Flip is expected to arrive next week in green, white, pink, and black colors. The phone will have 12GB of RAM and at least three storage combinations: 256GB, 512GB, or 1TB. We’ll have to wait and see how much each of these will cost.
