Honor Watch 6 in for review | Infinium-tech

Following its unveiling, we’ve received the Honor Watch 6, and it might be as easy a recommendation as a wearable. The Watch 6 is available in Twilight Brown or Shadow Black (our model), and is normally priced at €250/£230 (€20/£20 more for the brown model), but is €170/£150 for the first month – that’s an €80/£80 discount. Gotta love respect!

In the box, you get a fluororubber strap with the watch, the black model, a leather one with the brown model (hence the markup), and a magnetic charger terminating at USB-A. Sadly, the charger has two pins that align with the watch, not the universal wireless puck.

So what makes the Honor Watch 6 an easy recommendation? It has a huge battery which is 20mAh less than 1,000mAh. This is quite large for a watch. And because it runs on Honor’s proprietary MagicOS, it can last for up to a month of normal use!

But the big battery isn’t impressive in itself. The fact that you would never guess it was there is the impressive part. On the wrist, the Honor Watch 6 feels like a regular smartwatch in every way. It’s not heavy – we measured the watch and strap at less than 68 grams.

Still, it doesn’t feel light or cheap either. Dare we say that this is absolutely true! After all you want some heft in a 46mm watch.

The watch is well made. It feels solid. The front glass appears flush with the case, but there are six slightly raised index markers on the aluminum bezel, which protect the glass if dropped.

This is a classic watch with two lugs at either end and two buttons on the right side, one of which is the rotating crown.

The screen itself is a circular 1.46-inch 464x464px AMOLED with up to 3,000 nits. Honor’s MagicOS looks exactly like the smartphone version with slightly transparent elements.
