Samsung’s upcoming bigger and thinner book-style foldable smartphone has been in the news a lot lately, and now we have the first leaked image that allegedly shows off the Galaxy Z Fold Special Edition.

As you can see, its design is overall very similar to the Galaxy Z Fold6, which makes sense. However, the fact that it is thinner is immediately noticeable.

Our first look at the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold Special Edition is here

As you can see, the Fold Special Edition will have a flat frame with slightly rounded corners. The camera island is slightly different from the Fold6, so this will help differentiate the two devices from a distance. It does seem thicker than the Fold6, but keep in mind that the Fold Special Edition itself is thinner, so that might be the reason.

The back of the device has a brushed metal look, but it’s still glass, just finished this way. The power button will also act as a fingerprint sensor, and the volume rocker is on the right above it, as is tradition with Samsung devices.

The Galaxy Z Fold Special Edition will be 4.9mm thick and 10.6mm when folded. It will have a 200 MP main camera, a 6.5-inch cover display and an 8-inch inner folding screen. Unfortunately, it is rumored to launch only in China and South Korea.
