Google Wallet can now track your packages | Infinium-tech
While it’s probably not the most obvious or sensible integration, it still looks great. Plus, we’re pretty sure this isn’t the first time Google has used package tracking. If memory serves correct, the now retired Google Now (or rather the converted Google Discover feed) used to offer the same thing.

Anyway, the idea is simple – Google scans your Gmail inbox and automatically recognizes digital receipts and tracking numbers, then uses them to provide parcel tracking information as part of the Google Wallet interface. The UI puts your payment methods as well as any packages coming soon right on the home screen. Of course, you can view more detailed data on tracking as well as reject the package once it arrives. Presumably, the system does this automatically for you at some point as well. Managing package tracking from Google Wallet eliminates any mess with package emails in Gmail.
At least for now, there are some caveats to testing the new feature. It’s only available in the US, and while Google says it supports most major retailers and their respective email formats, don’t expect it to work universally for any purchases and packages from any small store. To get this to work, you’ll also need to dig into the Gmail settings and make sure “Google Workspace Smart Features” are fully enabled.
