Google Pixel 11 devices to have the first 2nm smartphone SoC, new modem | Infinium-tech
According to a new report from China, Google’s Tensor G6 chipset that will power the Pixel 11 series will be the first smartphone chip to use TSMC’s 2nm process, beating Qualcomm and its Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6, MediaTek’s Dimensity 9600, and Apple’s A20 Pro.
This makes sense because those three SoCs are only expected to be inside devices that are scheduled to be announced in September, while Google has already confirmed that it’s unveiling the Pixel 11 family on August 12.

The FCC filing for the Pixel 11 Pro Fold has revealed what has been rumored in the past, namely that Google has gotten rid of Samsung’s Exynos modem family for its next-generation Pixel in favor of MediaTek’s M90. It will support 5G speeds up to 12GBps, satellite connectivity and dual active 5G SIMs.
Hopefully this means Pixel 11 devices will get better and more reliable connectivity than their predecessors that relied on Samsung modems.
