Google is bringing a long-awaited dialer update to Android | Infinium-tech
If you’re constantly making VoIP calls from your Android phone to apps like WhatsApp, Telegram or Messenger, you may soon be able to dial contacts on those apps directly from your default phone dialer app. Google has been testing this feature for some time now, and it looks like it’s finally ready for wider rollout under the calling account domain.

There’s a new option that allows third-party apps to appear in your call history, meaning you’ll be able to dial your contacts directly on the app without having to go to the VoIP app where you received the call.
The feature relies on Android’s telecom framework and allows third-party apps to register their calls so that they appear in the native Phone app, just like any regular cellular call. The feature will be available on any phone running Android 16.1 and above.
