Google Chrome finally supports sharing your approximate location with websites | Infinium-tech
Google’s Chrome web browser on Android now finally supports approximate location sharing. So now you can set it up so that it can only get an approximate location from your device that the website wants to send it. Previously, Chrome always wanted access to your precise location, which is too much for most websites.
You can still use your precise location if you need it, by the way, it won’t go away. Google plans to release a new API for web developers that lets them directly request your approximate location, or specify whether they need your exact location.
