Google announces Gemini Intelligence features coming to Android later this year | Infinium-tech
Google today unveiled Gemini Intelligence, a set of features coming to the Galaxy S26 series and Pixel 10 family “this summer.” The company says these features will be available “on your Android devices, including your watch, car, glasses, and laptop, later this year”.
Gemini Intelligence can automate multi-step tasks for you, and even navigate tasks. And with visual reference, Gemini can act immediately. For example, the grocery list on your screen can easily be turned into a shopping cart with all the items available for delivery. Or if you look at a tour brochure you can ask Gemini to find a similar tour on Expedia for a group of up to six people. While Gemini works in the background on such tasks, you can track its progress live via a notification. When it’s complete, all you have to do is give it your final confirmation.
Starting in late June, Chrome on Android will get Gemini to help you research, summarize, and compare content on the web. And with Auto Browse, Gemini can book appointments or reserve parking spaces on your behalf. Additionally, Autofill with Google will use Gemini’s personal intelligence to automatically fill “even smaller text fields in your apps, including Chrome.” Connecting Gemini to autofill with Google is opt-in.
Rambler Gboard will have a new feature that will let you talk normally, including the “ums” and “ahhs” and “likes” and then ‘translate’ them all into neat, clean text. It will be understood even if you are speaking in multiple languages ββin the same sentence. Rambler will clearly show you when you’ve enabled it.
Gemini Intelligence also lets you create custom widgets for Android and Wear OS with Create My Widget β it just requires a text prompt.
Finally, Gemini Intelligence comes with “an updated design language” that is “not only beautiful but functional, animated with the aim of reducing distractions and allowing you to focus on the task at hand”, says Google.
