Ayaneo reveals when the Next 2 and Konkr Fit Windows handhelds will ship | Infinium-tech
Ayaneo unveiled the Next2 Windows gaming handheld in December, and the company has now provided an update on its shipping schedule. According to Ayaneo, the Next 2 will begin shipping to Indiegogo backers in June.
Ayaneo’s suppliers have already begun production of key components for the NeXT 2, including motherboards, screens, batteries and “other core parts.” Non-critical components have already been completed.
The company expects to begin trial production of the handheld in early June and begin mass production in mid-June. Thus, if everything goes according to plan from this point forward, the first orders will be shipping in late June.
Ayaneo stopped taking orders for the Next 2 on March 23, and unfortunately the company says it “cannot currently guarantee additional production for new orders”. However, if you are interested, you can contact its customer service team and register your preferred configuration and color option. Ayaneo says “if circumstances permit”, it will “notify certain customers when additional ordering opportunities become available” in the future. It could not promise anything “beyond the existing plan”, he said.
The company has also announced that production of the Konkr Fit Windows handheld will begin by the end of this month, which probably means it will also ship sometime in June if all goes well.
