ASUS has launched the ROG Ally X in India. The launch comes nearly two months after its international announcement during Computex 2024 in June.

The ROG Ally X is an upgraded version of the 2023 ROG Ally, a handheld Windows-based gaming PC. The Ally X has the same Ryzen Z1 Extreme chip and even the same display as the Ally, so it’s not exactly a second-generation model, but it does bring with it a number of other changes.

The biggest change is the new 80Wh battery, which has double the capacity of the original model. The Ally X also has twice the storage at 1TB. You also get 50% more system memory at 24GB and it’s faster at 7500MHz. The updated cooling solution is now more efficient and quieter. ASUS has also redesigned the controls to work better and the body now has a better grip. You also get two USB-C ports.

The ROG Ally X is priced at Rs 89,990 in India, which is a significant hike from the original model’s price of Rs 69,990. Moreover, the original model can now be bought for Rs 49,990, which makes the new model seem even more expensive. The Ally X will be available on the ASUS ROG Store, eShop, Flipkart, and Amazon. You can buy it in any colour, provided it is black.
