Asus exited the smartphone market and now it’s making a tablet, here’s what it looks like | Infinium-tech
Asus officially confirmed its exit from the smartphone market in January, but apparently this does not apply to tablets. Today a new leak gives us our first look at the upcoming Asus pad with some nice looking renders.
As you can see, the bezels are quite thin for a tablet. The Asus Pad is rumored to have a 12.2-inch dual-layer OLED screen (think Apple’s tandem OLED and you’ll get the idea) with a 144Hz refresh rate. Along with Dolby Vision, it will also support Dolby Atmos.
The Asus Pad will have a 9,000 mAh battery that will support fast charging, although exact details have not been revealed. The device will weigh 523 grams and be 6.5 mm thin.

Unsurprisingly, Asus will also offer a first-party case for the pad, which will help prop it up like a stand. You can see it above. This is all the information about the Asus Pad that has been leaked today. We believe we will know more about this in the coming days and weeks. It’s still unclear when it’s launching or why Asus is developing it. We’ll let you know when we know more.
