Apple is considering risky alternative RAM suppliers amidst memory crunch | Infinium-tech
The current memory chip crisis is forcing companies to struggle with new ideas to achieve their desired RAM amounts, and Apple is clearly considering making a risky move. According to a new report from Bloomberg News, Cupertino is currently in talks with two Chinese companies, Changxin Memory Technologies (CXMT) and Yangtze Memory Technologies (YMTC), but there is one small issue.

Both companies are currently on the United States Department of Defense Section 1260H list and are referred to as “Entities Identified as Chinese Military Companies”. Although it is not illegal to do business with companies included on the 1260H list, it brings political backlash and potential regulatory threat to Apple.
