You can now add an event to your Google Calendar straight from Gmail | Infinium-tech
Google has announced that thanks to Gemini, now you can add an event to the Google calendar in Google, directly from an email in Gmail. This will work as Gemini will automatically detect “calendar related materials” in your email.
When this happens, the “Add to the calendar” button will appear. Once you click it, the side panel will bring a confirmation. This comes at the top of the ability to ask Mithun about the goods in your Google calendar, which is available in Gmail since November.
The new feature is currently available only in English and only in Gmail’s web interfaces. The “Add to the Calendar” button will not appear to the emails that will already automatically extracted events, such as restaurant reservation or flights. A calendar event created through the new button will not include other guests.
The rollout has begun today and is expected to be taken by mid -April to end for all accounts. Talking about accounts, you will only get it when you have a Google workpiece business or enterprise account, a Gemini education or Gemini education premium add-on, or a customer for Google One AI premium.
