Xiaomi Redmi Note 15 5G review | Infinium-tech
Introduction
There are many models of Redmi Note 15. Today, we’re taking a look at the Redmi Note 15 5G (no Pro moniker).

The Redmi Note 15 5G looks similar to its siblings and thus doesn’t deviate in any way from the recent Xiaomi formula. Not much has changed in the hardware department either. It appears that Xiaomi doesn’t want to rock the boat too much, which is a good indicator that sales are likely to be strong for the series in general.

Frankly, we’re having a little trouble accurately placing the Redmi Note 15 5G within the current lineup. Despite the lack of a “Pro” moniker, it certainly appears to sit above the Redmi Note 15 Pro 4G with a better chipset, notably one capable of capturing 4K video, and a better display certified for HDR10+. You’ll have to live with a smaller battery, but that seems to be the only real solution. As far as the Redmi Note 15 Pro 5G is concerned, it looks like it beats the Redmi Note 15 5G in most aspects, but still, it is a significantly more expensive device.

Overall, the Redmi Note 15 5G looks like a nice “sweet spot” within the Redmi Note 15 family. Of course, the devil is in the details, which we’ll read about as usual, but on the surface, it appears to have all its bases well covered.
It offers impressive durability, a huge and bright, HDR-capable display, and a good Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 chipset that doesn’t suffer from the limitations evident in the MediaTek Helio G200 Ultra that powers the Redmi Note 15 Pro 4G. It has expandable storage, the camera setup looks solid, if not particularly impressive, and at 5520 mAh, the battery pack still offers good capacity. However, this is probably the weakest link in the chain here. We will have to see.
unbox
The Redmi Note 15 5G doesn’t differ from the established Redmi packaging. It comes in a familiar white box with red accents. It is a two-piece thick cardboard box that provides great protection during transit. At the same time, apart from a thin bag, there is no visible plastic in the packaging, which is quite eco-friendly.

The included accessories package is quite lavish, especially by modern standards. That said, due to EU regulations, those markets don’t get a charger in the box. Still, some regions come with a free Xiaomi 45W wall plug that can fully saturate the fast-charging speed of Redmi Note 15 5G.
Apart from the charger, everyone gets a nice 5A USB Type-A to Type-C cable which is proprietary with an extra pin just like the charger. Make sure not to lose it. Also in the box is a nice, thick, grey, soft TPU case.
