Xiaomi 17 Ultra packs a 1-inch sensor, 200MP periscope telephoto, and a 6,800mAh battery | Infinium-tech
The Xiaomi 17 Ultra has finally been unveiled in China as the brand’s flagship phone. Along with the standard model, the company also announced the 17 Ultra Ducati Edition, which features a unique design and a mechanical zoom ring.

The 17 Ultra comes with a Leica branded triple rear camera setup consisting of a primary 50MP 1-inch sized Light Fusion 1050L sensor with support for LOFIC technology. It is paired with a 200MP Samsung LTE 1/1.4-inch periscope telephoto unit that offers a 50MP ultrawide camera with continuous optical zoom and autofocus.
On the front, the phone features a flat 6.9-inch M10 AMOLED LTPO display with a 120Hz refresh rate, 2608 x 1200-pixel resolution, and 3,500-nit peak brightness. The display is protected by Xiaomi’s Dragon Crystal Glass 3.0. You will also get a 50MP selfie camera on the front and an in-display ultrasonic fingerprint scanner.

The phone is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 SoC, paired with up to 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and up to 1TB of UFS 4.1 storage. It runs on Xiaomi’s HyperOS 3.0 out-of-the-box which includes several AI features.
Xiaomi has included a 6,800mAh silicon-carbon battery in the 17 Ultra. It supports 90W wired and 50W wireless charging along with 22.5W wired reverse charging.
Other specifications include an infrared sensor, dual SIM, Hi-Res audio, stereo speakers, quad-mic array, IP66/IP68/IP69 rating, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6.0, NFC, and satellite communications. Xiaomi 17 Ultra is available in Black, Cool Smoke Purple, Starry Green and White color options.

The Leica version has the same specifications as the standard version, but offers some additional features including a mechanical zoom ring that lets users adjust focal length, exposure, and white balance.
It features a dual-tone design inspired by the Leica M-series cameras, as well as a knurled pattern on the frame and the red Ducati logo on the back.

The 17 Ultra LEICA Edition comes with the exclusive LEICA Moment Mode in 3:2 aspect ratio, a security and encryption chip and dual-satellite communication. The phone comes in a special box that includes a lens cap, a lanyard, a magnetic case and a cleaning cloth.
The phone will be sold in black and off-white color options. Both variants will be available for sale in China from December 27 on the official Xiaomi online store.
Talking about pricing, the standard Xiaomi 17 Ultra is available in a 12GB/512GB option, priced at CNY 6,999 ($995), a 16GB/512GB model, priced at CNY 7,499 ($1,065), and a 16GB/1TB variant priced at CNY 8,499 ($1,210).
The Xiaomi 17 Ultra Leica Edition is priced at CNY 7,999 ($1,140) for the 16GB/512GB model and CNY 8,999 ($1,280) for the 16GB/1TB option.
