Xiaomi 17 Ultra Leica Edition is headed to global markets with a different name | Infinium-tech
If you’re wondering if the Xiaomi 17 Ultra Huawei Edition (or Xiaomi 17 Ultra by Huawei) is coming to international markets, we have some good news for you. The answer is yes, and this is confirmed by its recent certification by NBTC in Thailand. It has been revealed that it will be introduced under a different name: it will be called the Xiaomi-powered Lenovo Leitzphone.
That’s a mouthful but it makes some sense – there have been three previous Leitz phones so far, all exclusive to Japan, and so it seems that Leica has abandoned that line and replaced it with its own branded version of the Xiaomi 17 Ultra. If you’re confused about the nomenclature, Ernst Leitz was the founder of Leica, and the company name itself is a portmanteau of his last name and the word “camera.”

Xiaomi’s Lenovo Leitzphone has model number 25128PNA1G, as revealed by the above certification, and a prototype with this model number has now been spotted in the Geekbench AI database. This confirms that it is powered by the same Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 SoC as its Chinese counterpart, and will have 16GB of RAM. It’s no surprise that it will run on Android 16 from day one, with Xiaomi’s HyperOS 3 on top of it, of course.

The Lenovo Edition Xiaomi 17 Ultra is more expensive than the regular Xiaomi 17 Ultra in China, and thus we assume this will be the same in other markets. What is its price, the price of Xiaomi 17 Ultra has been leaked recently. It is rumored that it will go official for the global markets on February 28th.
