The Samsung Galaxy S27 Ultra will come with a custom Snapdragon chip | Infinium-tech
While the Galaxy S26 lineup launching next month is rumored to feature Exynos and Qualcomm chips, earlier reports suggested that Samsung may be ready to move to its own silicon for the next generation. Now though prominent Weibo tipster digital chat station The Galaxy S27 Ultra is claimed to maintain the existing tradition of running only Snapdragon chipsets.

To secure orders, the San Diego manufacturer will deliver a custom chip that may be called the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Pro. It will be based on Samsung’s 2nm manufacturing process. Seeing how TSMC is struggling with capacity, chipmakers are turning to alternatives like Samsung. Additionally, industry watchers say Samsung has already fixed its yield issues.
The other two models, the Galaxy S27 and S27 Plus, will likely run on Samsung’s upcoming Exynos 2600 SoC. Or at least that’s what current rumors say.
