The Exynos-equipped Galaxy S26 and S26+ could come with a discount for Samsung | Infinium-tech
Samsung is expected to launch its Galaxy S26 series in February and rumors suggest that we will see the return of the Exynos chipset in most regions. The S26 and S26+ will be equipped with the Exynos 2600 in markets like Korea and Europe, while those in North America will get the Snapdragon 8th Gen Elite 5 chip instead. The S26 Ultra will reportedly get a Snapdragon chip in all regions.
According to a new report from South Korea chosunbiz Based on industry sources, Samsung Electronics’ System LSI and Samsung Electronics’ MX divisions are currently negotiating to reduce the price of the Exynos 2600 by $20 to $30 per unit.
This doesn’t mean that the Galaxy S26 with the Exynos 2600 will be $20-$30 cheaper than the Snapdragon 8 Gen Elite Gen 5 version, but more that Samsung will increase its profit margin for each Exynos phone.
The new report also mentions that although the Exynos 2600 has shown good promise in benchmarking results, it is too early to say whether it will see use in the real world. The Exynos 2600 is expected to be built on Samsung’s 2nm process, with a deca-core 1+3+6 CPU configuration with a maximum clock speed of 3.8GHz.

This chip is reportedly set to outperform the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chip by 29% in the GPU department. Rumors also suggest that the Exynos 2600 will deliver 14% faster CPU performance and 75% faster GPU scores compared to the Apple A19 Pro chip found in the iPhone 17 Pro models.
