Spotify’s Prompted Playlist feature expands to North America | Infinium-tech
Last month, Spotify launched its Prompted Playlists feature that gives you more control over its playlist algorithm, and today the availability of the feature is expanding.
After an initial rollout in New Zealand, it is now being offered to premium customers in the US and Canada. The feature is still in beta.

With prompted playlists, you can use your own words to describe what you want to hear. Think of it as ChatGPT (or Gemini, you get the idea) for music. Once you say what you want, a playlist will be generated based on your input. It also takes into account your listening history.
Spotify says this feature lets you “design searches around what you’re in the mood for.” You can edit your prompt at any time, or start from scratch. You can also choose to refresh the generated playlist daily or weekly. And if you’re wondering why a specific song was added to the playlist, you’ll get a quick one-line explanation.
To use this feature, go to Create in Spotify and select Prompted Playlist. Then just say what you want to hear.
